The collaboration between a visionary architect and Dorsa’s design team resulted in the creation of a product inspired by patterns and geometries that appear throughout the universe and hold a timeless presence in Iranian architecture.
These motifs — influential, enduring, and meaningful — have carried a distinctive visual identity and cultural depth for thousands of years.
Arian Hakimi, architect, multidisciplinary designer, educator, and researcher, explored the potential of these patterns through an experimental process.
His goal was to deepen the human connection with objects and bring these motifs into contemporary, functional design.
In collaboration with Dorsa’s design team — with years of experience in crafting fashion products — a unique creation emerged.
After several years of research and development, Dorsa’s team translated the initial concept into a tangible product.
The mould was engineered through seven months of continuous prototyping, followed by the precise construction and evaluation of more than 50 individual components.
Layer by layer, this geometry evolved into an identity — the essence of Daal — shaped by artistry and handcrafted excellence.
